Fort McMurray's Headshot Photographer
Born in Quebec, raised in Grande Cache, and based in Fort McMurray for the past 25 years. With three years time in Edmonton. Sandy has deep roots across Alberta. Her photography journey began by following her child with a camera, which grew into a passion refined through the Burwell School of Photography and professional accreditations from the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC).
Before turning to photography full-time, Sandy worked as a Safety Professional. Earning a diploma in Occupational Health & Safety through the University of Calgary. Working alongside driven professionals, she noticed talented people being underestimated due to their image—sparking her focus on Executive Headshots that reflect true professionalism. Her sessions naturally blend photography with mentorship and connection, creating an environment where clients leave confident, clear, and with images that showcase their authentic selves.
Leadership
Sandy currently serves as Alberta’s North Branch Chair and Secretary with the Professional Photographers of Canada, having held the Chair position for one year and the Secretary role for three years. She believes in strength in collaboration and is passionate about strengthening industries and local economies by fostering meaningful connections, supporting others, and encouraging growth rather than undermining it.
